SA: SA livestock producers want assurances

South Australian livestock producers want assurances that five shipments of exported
sheep currently at sea will be accepted before sending out any more sheep.

The South Australian Farmers' Federation says five vessels carrying about 290,000 Australian
sheep remain at sea.

The federation's JULIE LLOYD says livestock exporters want to make sure the sheep are
offloaded at their destinations before they'll risk sending the 56,000 sheep from the
feedlot in Portland.
