QLD:Fishing resumes in parts of Moreton Bay

BRISBANE, Feb 9 AAP - Fishing will resume in parts of Moreton Bay on Wednesday after
January's devastating floods.

The fishing industry voluntarily agreed to stay out of areas that were worst affected
by sediment and runoff.

Fisheries Minister Tim Mulherin said surveys of the flood plume had been carried out,
and samples of water and sediment taken from the run-off affected area.

"Recent sediment surveys have now cleared more parts of the bay for fishing," he said.
