NSW: Sydneysiders readying for Federation Parade

SYDNEY, Jan 1 AAP - Sydneysiders have begun lining inner city streets in readiness
for this afternoon's Centenary of Federation parade.

Some eager spectators started marking out the best vantage points as early as 8.30am,
the chair of the parade advisory committee Bev Lange said today.

"People have already started getting the best vantage points ... starting from as early
as 8.30am, 9am," she said.

"We are just putting floats into place in the assembly area, and making sure all the
props and costumes have arrived.
