FED:ADF soldier in Afghanistan incident

The ADF will release more details .. in just over an hour .. of an incident involving
Australian soldiers in Afghanistan.

Defence has already revealed that next of kin have been notified.

Defence Minister JOHN FAULKNER and chief of the defence force Air Chief Marshal ANGUS
HOUSTON will front the media at 9am (AEST) in Canberra.

The overnight incident comes after Friday's deaths of Brisbane-based privates GRANT
KIRBY and TOMAS DALE in an IED blast in Oruzgan Province.

20 Australian soldiers have been killed in the nine-year Afghan war .. nine of them
since June this year.
